Boker Barlow Prime Expedition Folding Knife

The Boker Barlow Prime Expedition Folding Knife is a lightweight slip joint pocket knife that makes an excellent everyday carry, able to handle almost any cutting job easily. This version of the Barlow Expedition has significantly shorter bolsters than the standard Expedition.

The handles of this piece are contoured, and made of olive green canvas Micarta. The bolsters and liners are matte blasted brass, giving the Barlow Prime Expedition a color contrast reminiscent of long ago exploration and discovery expeditions.

The name Barlow is thought to have originated with the knife producer in Sheffield who began exporting this knife to North America around 1800, and is the origin of the characteristic Barlow teardrop shape.

The Boker Tree Brand Story 
In the 17th century, the Boker family began a small hardware factory beneath a towering chestnut tree in Germany. This tree was incorporated into the Boker’s first logo in the 1600s, and has remained an important brand symbol. Over the years, the Boker family expanded their business and moved to Solingen, the City of Blades, to begin the now-famous knife line with cutlery expert Hermann Heuser. In honor of the majestic tree from their first factory, Boker was originally known as Tree Brand, and many still refer to it by this name.
